Art of A. C. Dennison

I am originally British but have lived in Denmark for many years.

I've been creative all my life, expanding my knowledge of drawing and painting as time has gone by through education, courses and lots of practice. Even though I have a solid background, I still enjoy learning more, the day that I say that I'm finished will be a very sad day but I don't see it coming, the world of art is vast and exiting. The more I delve into it the more I find to learn.

 

I express myself through many different mediums - acrylics, oils, watercolour, gouache, mixed media, collage, pencils, charcoal, soft and oil pastels, Inktense pencils and pastels, acrylic markers and the list can go on and on. I love experimenting and trying out new mediums as well as working with the more known and loved ones.

 

My hope is that my colourful art will be a source of inspiration, just as I get inspired by another artists work. I wish to spread some joy and love through my artwork, there are enough difficulties and horrors in the world, sometimes we need a break to charge up and renew ourselves.

 

Nature is my friend and I enjoy looking out over vast spaces over the countryside and the sea, as well as being in woodlands with crooked trees that exude personality. The canopy of lime green that happens in early spring as the trees wake up is always a delight too. My eyes are sensitive to colour and shapes and walking in the countryside or the urban settings is an adventure for me as I observe these. This is why I create, I just cannot help it as it is an integral part of my being.
